Our Vision, Mission and Motto
A message from the leader
of the Hope, Healing and Restoration Project of the Lord,
Mogoeng Mogoeng
It has become necessary to outline and explain briefly, the “vision” "mission" and "motto" of the Hope, Healing and Restoration Project of the Lord. Proverbs 29:18 says that “where there is no vision, the people perish”. The dire situation that the people of Africa find themselves in, cries out for a clear, God-inspired, shared and executable vision.
This is an absolute necessity because Habakkuk 2:1–4 says:
- “I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what He will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.
- And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
- For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end, it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
- Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.”
Vision
The “Vision”, which is the direction in which the Project of the Lord is “to build a just, peaceful and prosperous Nation of Africa”.
Mission
The “Mission”, which is how to give practical expression to the “Vision”, is to do so through the instrumentality of integrity, healing, meritocracy, excellence and pragmatism.
Healing
All forms of social ills such as crime, gender-based violence and corruption can be traced back to a past of hurts, trauma and brokenness. Africa has suffered many hardships, some even untold. In order to move the continent and her people forward Africa must be healed. Healing must be central to all the planning for Africa’s development because broken people cannot build, their pain leads them to destroy everything around them. It's time for Africa to be healed in order for her to be rebuilt.
Integrity
When leaders lack integrity they are not trusted, and their words amount to nothing. The result is lawlessness, corruption, crime and strife at all levels. For Africa to be restored, her leaders must be men and women of integrity who will honour their words and love the nation and all its people. This will increase trust in the nation and people will be willing to contribute and sacrifice to see Africa healed and restored.
Excellence
Do you see someone skilled in their work? They will serve before kings; Proverbs 22:29
In order to rebuild Africa and restore her lost glory, the spirit of excellence must be embraced by all. Leaders must lead with excellence, and children and everyone in the nation must be encouraged to always excel in their work.
Meritocracy
In a continent that has been destroyed by corruption, nepotism and cadre deployment it is time for a new generation of leadership to rise in Africa. A leadership that is committed to competence, to appointing well-trained men and women who are diligent, and who will deliver for results for the benefit all.
Pragmatism
Many of the nations in the continent of Africa have spent time and resources in developing plans, however, very few have been successfully implemented to the benefit of ordinary citizens. It is time for Africa to come with plans that are practical, implementable, and aimed at bringing solutions to the challenges faced by communities. These plans must bring everyone on board whose heart and desire is to see the nation healed and restored irrespective of their background, faith or past.
Motto
The “Motto”, which is a statement that encapsulates the ideals of the Project, is: I am an instrument for the delivery of Hope, Healing and Restoration to Africa and to the ends of the earth.
